Implanting microchips in humans

Apparently we will soon be able to have microchips implanted that will allow medical personnel to access our medical records. Our cat has an ID chip implanted in her shoulder (to identify her in case she gets lost), but I didn't expect this technology to spread to humans quite so quickly.

I don't know that I want my own personal "EZ-Pass". Having one in the car seems to be sufficient. This will probably become inevitable though.
