What is wrong with people nowadays? Why do they all seem to think they are qualified to do things far beyond their technical capabilities?... This is all to do with the learning culture in schools. It is a consequence of the child-centred system which admits no failure and tells people they can all be pop stars, High Court judges, brilliant TV presenters or even infinitely more competent heads of state without ever putting in the necessary effort or having abilities. It's social utopianism which believes humanity can be genetically and socially re-engineered to contradict the lessons of history.

Prince Charles made these statements in a private memo in response to an inquiry by a member of his staff regarding training for a promotion. For more on this story, read this article in The Independent.
One must be born into the right family in order to be a head of state without ever putting in the necessary effort or having abilities. The long history of incompetent British monarchs certainly proves this. Why, for goodness sake, does the British public continue to put up with the Royal Family? Do they really believe that they will lose tourist dollars if they abolish the monarchy and become a republic? People visit Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle for the history and architecture of those buildings, not because they expect to run into the Queen.
Abolish the monarchy and make these people go to work and make a living off their efforts and abilities. The French haven't supported the Bonapartes or the Bourbons for quite some time and those families haven't starved.
