An endorsement

Amir Peretz and the Labor Party are the only prominent Israeli politicians talking seriously about reopening negotiations with the Palestinians. Peretz is also the only leader of a major party who is talking about issues of particular concern to poorer residents of Israel, such as raising the minimum wage.

Given a choice among Peretz, Netanyahu, and Olmert, it isn't difficult to choose Peretz. It would a nice step forward for Israel if a Sephardi became Prime Minister.
